yep - had some around 7 weeks - didn't have a scan then but am now nearly 14 wks and all ok so far! apparently its quite common and as long as it doesn't turn red and become too heavy, it's ok. I'm sure some others will be along soon with some more useful info

Had exactly the same thing, now 15 weeks and baby was keeping me a awake last night moving around!

Yeah had exactly the same thing and went and had a scan and everything was fine. I'm nearly eleven weeks pregnant and have my first scan next week.

Yeah, I had this a couple of times (8 weeks, and 15 weeks) both times I had a scan, ans everything was fine...I'm now 27 weeks Hope that helps.

can be normal, i even had a bit of red mucousy blood too and after a few days it stopped. baby now 19 mths and currently pulling my hair!

oh and i hear if they see the heartbeat in an early scan its much less likely to miscarry...

I had it at 11 weeks and was told by midwife it is old blood that is usually from damamge to the cervix, that you probably wouldn't have noticed happen, or that you can sometimes have a small amount of bleeding when your period is due that can come out at time over the next few weeks and be old. She also said it's very common but women don't talk about it.

Didn't have an extra scan as my 12 week scan was due in a week and a bit. I'm now 19 weeks and am feeling my baby move everyday don't worry.

Having brown-blood discharge today. A/N unit and GP both closed - phoned hospital and was put through to Gynae ward.

They told me it's very common and probably nothing to worry about so long as it doesn't get heavier and so long as you don't start getting sharp pain. If it gets worse they say I must go to A&E - although frankly I know I'd be very low priority and would spend hours in the waiting room with a bored toddler... Not my idea of fun!

A little period-like pain with a little brown spotting is not unusual when your period would otherwise have come (I am about 8+2 today so would normally have had a period start yesterday).

I have my booking-in appointment a week today. My dating scan is not for three weeks after that (~12+2) so I am really hoping they will do a reassurance scan or at least Doppler for the HB next week.

Fingers crossed for us both. xxx
