I found out 3 days ago I am pregnant (about 5 weeks).I don't have any sickness or sore boobs. But I did have REALLY uncomfortable wind/gas/bloating yesterday, tummy was really noisy and then a couple of bouts of upset tummy. Do you think this is related? It has subsided now but I still feel like I have a heavy tummy but that might just be because it's all I can think about. I'd appreciate any advice x

Hello, it can be totally normal - one of the less well-known pregnancy symptoms!

I read somewhere that all the extra hormones can give you diarrhoea/cramps etc. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and have had it on and off for weeks now, it's not pleasant but I've been told it's nothing to worry about as long as I drink plenty of fluid etc.

If you are worried, you can always give your GP a ring

Thank you.As much as this is everything I've wanted, it is still so scay and so worried I'm not doing things right. Thanks.

Wind and bloated feeling is very normal, sickness may come or you may be lucky, I got nausea about 6 weeks this time, and 8 weeks last time so there is still time

As for constipation totally normal, I have nothing for a few days and then I am rushing to the toilet every 5 minutes, my body seems to clog up then clear out.

What you describe sounds like what I have so I wouldn't worry to much but if concerned speak to your mw (have you made an appointment to be booked in yet?) x

Thanks. I am booked in to see her for first time in 2 weeks, so going to be a long 2 weeks for me! I feel completely normal except for bloating and occaisonal mild period like aches and little tingles and bizzes in belly (which guess could be the upset tummy as much as anything). I've never been on a site like this before so thanks for the reassurance. I think I'm just going to take it easy and see how I go. I guess every woman has different reaction to pregnancy, and guess it should feel difference just worries me I am not sick/sore. Im going to have a relaxing day ...

congratulations & good luck xx
everything you've described sounds perfectly normal. In the coming weeks you'll probably feel exhausted too... take it easy

Sounds normal to me too, my innards were the first thing to complain with being pg, it seemed to go through the whole spectrum of indigestion, wind, constipation, diarrhoea (alternating obviously!). Nice
