Hi everyone, I have been to see nurse this morning for bp checking as it was quite low,
bp is fine now but as i was in dr's i got a pain in my lower abdomen on left I mentioned this to nurse who got a student midwife and we listned to heartbeat all good.... but they couldn't answer me on what the pain could be? it has got worse since I got home about an hour ago, it is painfull when i walk too i feel like i want to double over,
Has anyone else had this am i worrying over nothing again as i have history of mc at 16 wks which is what iam now, i thought i'd give it another hour or so and ring midwife
see what she says even though she is useless!!

Could it be round ligament stretching pain?? Apparently as the uterus grows the round ligament attached to it has to stretch to accommodate the growth. It can be quite painful and tends to be a stabby sort of pain rather than a crampy sensation.

You may well have already ruled this out but it was what came to mind for me.

Hope your midwife can be more helpful and that you get some answers and feel better soon x

Hiya, I often get a sharp pain really low down, usually on the right side. I got it with my first and thought that pain was worse than labour contractions!!!
This time it only lasts for about 5 minutes, in the same place. I think it is the same area as appendix would be?
Midwife thinks either stretching ligaments, or baby lying on a nerve?
It sometimes gets worse if I sneeze or cough.
I find if I gently massage the area, it eases off a little?
