Have put a picture of my bump on my profile.

Just interested to see what strangers see, as I know what I see!

mazzystartled · 30/03/2010 12:14

I'd say 7-8 months

It's a very nice bump - nice and round!

Buda · 30/03/2010 12:14

10 weeks?

Sorry couldn't resist!!

About 32 weeks.

DinahRod · 30/03/2010 12:17

Was that size at about 8-9m with no1 and 2.

However, am not far off that now at 25 weeks with no 3, so I'll say 30 weeks.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 30/03/2010 12:18

5 months

JackRabbitBauer · 30/03/2010 12:20

I reckon about 4-5 months

DuelingFanjo · 30/03/2010 12:22

34 weeks

this is a guess.

DuelingFanjo · 30/03/2010 12:24

I just cheated and searched your pots so now I know your due date and everything

birdofthenorth · 30/03/2010 12:26

7 months?

Put us out of our misery!

MeMyselfAndIt · 30/03/2010 12:27

5 - 6 months

BettyButterknife · 30/03/2010 13:04

I'll be 25 weeks on Thursday. So a few of you guessed correctly!

The reason I asked is that people have started saying 'not long to go now then' and that sort of thing, and when I tell them I'm not due until mid-July they make this face:

And it's making me feel bigger than I perhaps am! As well as thinking 'if I'm this big now how huge will I be by the end??' (It is my second and I do have a fibroid the size of a grapefruit in there too.)

But really interesting to see the variety of answers from women who have had vastly different sized bumps, it seems. Ooh, we're all different, aren't we?

thats why you look big cos of the Fibriod. My aunty had it and she looked huge but had a 8lb baby.

TulipsInTheRain · 30/03/2010 13:09

whoops, serves me right for not refreshing before i posted

don't worry about size, with two of mine i was tiny, getting lots of comments on hoe tiny my bump was... with the other i was HUUUUUUGE, astoundingly so, was probably the same size as you at 20 weeks and it got worse

WillowM2B · 30/03/2010 13:45

YAY! I said 25 weeks. What do I win?

I am 25 weeks too (with 3rd) and am large and really feel I cannot get any bigger (and I dont have a fibroid in there too!).

nice shaped bump! i would have guessed about right.

for what it's worth though, i would much rather have people say i look bigger than what i am (31 weeks)

it's just a family trait my mum tells me, and also i am very tall (5.11), but it makes me quite upset when people comment that my bump is small. (i always think they're implying what's wrong with your baby!)

the worst thing that EVER happened was with my first pregnancy, which i carried smaller than this one.

Was at a party and there was another woman there who was also pregnant, further along than me I assumed as her bump was substantially bigger. So partway through the evening, someone asked us both how far along we were.
When we both said six months, the bloody insensitive man who asked (her husband), roared with laughter as did everyone in earshot as he'd started teasing his wife loudly that she was bigger. It was dreadful as she was average and I was small, it made me feel so upset. But of course all i could do was join in politely with the hilarity.

didn't help that she looked just as smug as anything about her big round bump!

mazzystartled · 30/03/2010 14:34

bb - i think it is because the rest of you looks quite trim, so people saying you look further along is a compliment really.

I have, at the same playgroup session, had different people saying "wow not long to go", and "oh gosh are you pregnant?". My bump (36 weeks with number 3) seems to morph from enormous to tiny according to which random person decides to accost me about it.

designerjooles · 30/03/2010 16:40

I was going to say 25 weeks... Everyone carries different ways don't forget!

Horton · 30/03/2010 17:24

I was about like that at less than six months, maybe five and a half or so. People kept asking me when I was due with the clear expectation that I was going to say 'tomorrow' or similar. Actually, I don't think the bump got that much bigger over the last few months, it just kind of changed shape.

mumtotwoboys · 01/04/2010 11:48

Are you quite petite then OP?
I'm 5ft 8 and look similar at 39 weeks, but it's all about perspective, in relation to body size I guess??
When people ask how long I have left and I say 'oh just over a week' they're like; :-o

MumNWLondon · 01/04/2010 15:16

I am 37 weeks with Dc3 and I look similar.... but everyone says I look small.

BettyButterknife · 01/04/2010 17:51

I'm not petite at all - 5'6" and with a pretty sturdy frame.

Quite surprised to see the comment about the rest of me looking trim...
