i got bigger quicker with second but not that quick, dont want to worry you too much but its either more than one or your muscles just aren't what they used to, or a lot of water! your best bet is to speak to your midwife!

Hi bgt, I am having the same problem I have only told a few people and they have all said 'i thought you had a little bump' I am only just over 6 weeks and I know that it's not normal to see anything and I am thinking it is extreme bloating but I have without a doubt changed shape even my partner has noticed. I am starting to think i have my dates wrong but my last period was on valentines day so I can't have can i? If it were twins would this happen so soon or is it normal to bloat so badly? This did not happen with my first, in fact I didn't show until at least four months. They say every pregnancy is different, maybe i've eaten too much recently and it's caught up but it seems I have woken up one morning with a big tummy.

clearBlueSavannah · 29/03/2010 23:36

omg are you me?
My last period was v's day too. And I feel sick, so keep eating to get over the nausea. Which can't be helping.
I have not really been as sick this time. With my first pg, I was vomming and then feeling better - I have only thrown up a few times.
I haven't told anyone yet but sure they'll all guess.

Hi clearbluesavannah, I am thinking we must be bloated but it is really strange. I have the nausea and I must say eating plain stuff is keeping it at bay a little, I can't even consider anything stodgey or smelly though or I prob will be sick. I was completely diff last time I was sooo sick I lost weight and I couldn't even entertain food without bringing up the last meal/drink, I have a feeling i'll be putting on a lot more than the 2 stone I did last time ;)

hairymelons · 29/03/2010 23:59

I'm 11 weeks and masive, wasn't this size until around 20 weeks last time!
I was a bit bigger to start with though...and I haven't been to the gym in 2 years...and I am eating like a pig. I think it's either just lard or twins.

I am 5 weeks pregnant and also look about 3 months gone!!!

I can not fit into my jeans and i had to use an elastic band to tie them together yesterday so i could go to morrisons !!!

I have been doing some research on this and 'multiple pregnancies' keeps popping up. (my brother had twins recently) other signs include early pregnancy symptoms especially ms and retaining water.

I haven't suffered with sickness but a not long after conception without knowing i was pregnant i had and continue with 'sicky burps' and i have lost my appetite.

don't know if you experiencing the same symptoms????

Can you upload pics on this site?

I'm the same with bump 2!! Bump 1 didn't start to poke out till I was a good 16 or 17 weeks & even then I just looked podgy. This time round, in the morning I have a slight swelling, but after a meal I look about 4 or 5 months gone! I had lost all my baby weight & toned myself back up so surprised that I'm showing so early! But lots of people have said that it's common with your second to show so much earlier, your body knows what it's doing & your muscles just aren't as tight as they used to be!
Plus this time, I know I'm going to get fat (well big) so I'm just going for it. Eating to stop the sickness & eating because I've got an excuse!!

9+1 ish

I've lost almost a stone from feeling nauseous and not exactly having the ideal early pregnancy diet, but have a huge tummy! The cunning tops I bought to conceal my news until I was ready to tell at work are now struggling to contain my belly and am having to resort to big scarves! If this continues I'll need a block and tackle to get off the sofa...

ChunkyPickle · 30/03/2010 20:34

I blew up like a balloon at first - it went down towards the end of the first trimester, but to illustrate, the jeans I bought during those weeks (that fitted at the time) are still baggy around my waist now that I'm 22 weeks and properly showing...

parkj83 · 01/04/2010 21:51

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, and I feel huge, especially in the evenings.

Ditto re the eating to stop feeling sick too!

I'm in maternity leggings now, and bought maternity jeans at 10 weeks too, but they're too uncomfortable at the mo, so living in the leggings

I didn't show with DS until about 20ish weeks, but I feel so odd with this one - the top half of my belly (between my boobs and my belly button) feels rock solid, and is bigger than the bit below my belly button...

I look very weird!!
