Private scans in Norfolk/Suffolk

Just throwing this out there in case anyone can help...

Does anyone know of a place where you can get a private antenatal scan in Norfolk or Suffolk? I looked on the Spire website but couldn't get much sense from it, and all the companies which come up on Google searches aren't anywhere near the area. Love to hear from you if you know of any. Thanks

Sorry to be cheeky - have just looked up Martlesham on map and found it's an hour and a half away from us (wouldn't mind avoiding with a toddler in car for 3 hour round trip), so although I did say Suffolk, if anyone sees this and happens to know of any closer to Norfolk it'd be great if you could still put them on. Thanks OWO though.

uh... how about a scan you can pay for at your local hospital - which I assume is Norwich?

I know Ipswich hospital will offer extra scans at a fee of about £50... try looking on the N and N website

Ooh, that would be great. Yes is the Norwich N&N. I didn't know you could do that. I will look and hope that I can because that would be ideal, and cheaper than a lot of commercial places too. Thank you for all your help OWO.

That is fantastic, thank you OWO. I didn't manage to find any of that when I did my search! A4D baby is next in Norwich the week before my next scheduled NHS scan (in a month), so I'm going to try the N&N and see what they say. Thanks again xx

Just spoke to the N&N and they quoted £190 for a private scan... so think I might have to hold on, or travel down to Martlesham if I can't wait. Still, thank you for showing me the options - feel a lot better knowing that I can get one if I need!

do you think you need one then?

ooosabeauta · 29/03/2010 18:52

Sorry, went out to Tumbletots!

I only need one for peace of mind really. Had two missed mcs last year, both before ten weeks, and I'm pregnant now, had my last scan at 11+5, should be 14+4 today, but just can't wait until 20 weeks to know if it's all still happening! We're going on holiday in a week and a bit and I thought I'd try to get a scan before we go so that I'm not worrying while we're away. They have them in Martlesham quite regularly so I think I might go down there as they're reasonably priced too. It's difficult to decide whether I'm being a bit silly and should just wait!
