Fibroids after pregnancy

Guess this isnt the right forum but I havent got any response on the health boards. Essentially: will my stomach evert get any smaller???

I have recently had my first baby. I have had fibroids for some time before this. The baby is now 7 weeks but my uterus has not shrunk down to its pre-pregnant size. It used to be the size of 12 weeks, its now 16 weeks. Its uncomfortable if I lie on my front and it sticks out a lot. The doctor said my uterus may not shrink much more.

Does this mean I am stuck with my stomach as it is or will my stomach muscles start to hold it in better?
Also I am still bleeding does this mean my uterus might still shrink a little?

Is there anyone out there who has been through the same? I am not generally vain but I cant go through life looking four months pregnant...
