This is my 3rd pregnancy, currently 14wks 3 days. Ive has stretch marks with the other 2 on my tummy but not until later on probably 25 weeks ish!

Ive all of a sudden developed love stretch marks that are causing me so much pain- im in agony. I went to the doctors are i almost made myself bleed from scratching in the night & i was told nothing can be done or given to help!! Arrrhhhhh!!! Surly there is some hope, ive tried sudacream & double base which helps sooths the pain but doesnt take away the itch which is driving me mad!!

Does anyone have any other treatments i can try?? Please... pretty please??

I don't know, but might Bio Oil help?

I'm using it this time around. I don't hold out much hope of avoiding stretchmarks altogether (got them last time and truly believe you either get them or you don't) but it does seem to moisturize and soothe the skin so may help with itching?

It's an expensive gamble though I know.

Hope you find something soon.

I found rubbing any kind of oil helped sooth the itch. I'd sit in front of the telly at night with my bottle of massage oil (something nice and smelly with 'mum' or some such in the title), rubbing away my itch. Still covered in stretch marks, it just made it more comfortable.

Hi there,

I use Rilastil stretch mark cream and I think it's great! I'm not sure if you can get it in the UK (I'm in Cyprus) but if you have a look on Google, you should be able to order it online.
I'm only 14 weeks with my fist at the moment, but the Doc. here recommended it for me when I went for my first scan as I have some pretty bad stretch mark on my stomach already from weight gain and loss a good few years ago. He thought it might be a good idea as he said they would get pretty sore.
I've got really dry skin on my stomach and legs too and they've been itchy for the day they first appeared!
This cream has completly taken the itchies away and the marks are actually starting to fade which is a bonus!
It's not the cheapest stuff and I've been rubbing it in for ages twice a day for weeks now, but it definately has helped, maybe it's worth a shot

Hope you can find something that helps.

Oh...just read the box...apparently you can get ampoules too, for intensive treatment!

I used wheatgerm oil last time and this, no stretchmarks yet but no idea if that was due to the oil or not. It's a very thick oil, a little like jojoba oil I guess - smells of wheat (so I'm always reminded of pet shops when putting it on, lol...). If you have anywhere that sells aromatherapy oils near you, ask for their advice re oils to use. I guess I could always put some lavender essential oil in it but to be honest, I quite like the hay smell! So I'd recommend a thick oil and gently massaging it on, I think both would help.
