LABOUR STARTING ??

dd is 35wks and has been having pains all day but got a bit worse this afternoom ,shes gone in the bath ,should we phone the labour unit for advice or wait and see

Doesn't hurt to phone for advice, esp as pre-term. Is it her 1st?

yes she said the pains are coming every mins ,but is having a long soak

if the pains are stopping when she changes position then they are BH

if they carry on and she cannot get comfortable they are more likely to be contractions

when i was in labour (proper) i couldn't get comfy anywhere

make sure the bathroom door is not locked - i got in the bath early on in my labour and then paniced about how i was going to get out as CX sped up a lot

its locked but ie told her to open it
