Spas and early pregnancy

Hi there! I am need of some advice. I have planned a spa day on 24 April. I am TTC#1 and have had 1 MC. Have decided to book a spa day for my friend and I for her b/day as I am sick of letting TTC rule my life! I will be on CD37 on this day so just about to test as I have long cycles (37-39). Has anyone ever been to a spa before 12 weeks and just not done the hot things e.g. sauna (I understand it's the heat that's the issue and some products) and had a safe treatment e.g. a facial? I know that many people don't bother with a lot of the pre-12 weeks advice re cheese etc so wondered if this is another one of those things we avoid, but it's actually very rare for something to happen?. I would really like to do this, but obviously don't want to take any risks.

I'm probably a bad person to ask, because I sat in the jacuzzi last week (at 36 weeks) as it wasn't any hotter than a bath I'd sit in and I wasn't in for that long... but you might not even be pregnant then anyway (or maybe 4 weeks) so surely too early to be worrying about hot baths?

I have never seen anyone suggest that spas/hot baths should be avoided when TTC. I was discussing hot baths in pregnancy with a friend who is a GP, and she said that she had hot baths in both her pregnancies and if it really was so hot that it could cause a problem you'd feel uncomfortable.

If you are worried about this I think rather than asking a pile of random strangers who probably don't know the risks, and are likely to overstate them to be cautious it would be best to ask your GP.
