Don't think it's braxton hicks as it's going on for ages. The top of my bump is pushed up really high today and is pressing on my lungs/stomach etc and really uncomfortable. Can't get comfortable at all in any position but sitting down makes it worse...
Is it just the way the baby is lying? Baby is still moving so not worried in that way, just feel like I am literally being crushed from the inside upwards!!!
Anybody got any advice? Is this the beginnning of something happening !

I have this!!! I am 36+2 - I think my baby is trying to fit his bum under my ribs - it really, really hurts!!!! I feel quite bruised.... I don't know what it means, I guess the baby is just running out of room.

Could it be that you have some excess water - this happened to me with my first and i had too much water - phone your midwife and get it checked.

Hi im 39+2 & feel the same. I think its just getting to that big uncomfortable stage now. Mine is often rock hard & been getting BH for few weeks on & off. Maybe you do have a lot of fluid too as someone else said - mine was the same last time (this is my 2nd) and as soon as my waters broke I felt like I could breathe again, and I swear I was a lot smaller - even DP commented on it, and the baby hadnt even come out yet! Good luck
