Hello - in desparate need of some advice here ........
I have had a rotten old cold - nothing new there and I can cope with that - but then last night I also had a bout of really bad diarrhea with mild stomach cramps. I got to sleep at 4.30am only to be woken by DC at 6.30am. Today, thank goodness I have had someone to help with DC so have been able to lie in bed, but I still have crampy tummy and just cannot get comfortable or sleep. Also - and this has happened with every pregnancy (this is no 3 for me), if I lie flat on bed (with 2 pillows), I feel like I have trapped wind and that I keep needing to sit up to burp ... does that sound odd? It is a nightmare, and is preventing me from getting any rest.

What can i do? What can I eat/drink which will not exacerbate this "wind" thing ....... it is all driving me mad.

Any advice??/ xxx

Call your GP and explain - there are lots of effective drugs for 'trapped wind' and some of them may be safe in pregnancy. No point in suffering! Peppermint tea is also meant to help with trapped wind.
