Update on membrane sweep

Hi, I posted last week asking on the chances of getting a sweep at 40+1 instead of 41+1.
Bit disappointed as wasn't allowed to have one, midwife said they just don't seem to work at term or just after so to go back next week and have one then.
I really hope baby arrives before then fed up of being pregnant now!

I am only 17 weeks but because my first was 2 weeks late and induced in the end, my midwife has already offered to do a sweep at 37, 39 and 41 weeks so maybe it depends where you are.
It wasn't something I asked for just something she suggested and said there is a movement to have sweeps earlier routinely for those who want them.

Had one at 41+5 which didn't work but my cervix was very unfavorable
