Im such a paranoid first timer, can someone please reassure me.

Im 23 weeks and dont think I feel him move enough every day. what week should I start taking note of his movements daily. Is it still too early for regular movement??

Please calm my nerves!

I gather, like us, babies have busy days and lazy days; or generally are placid & relaxed by nature or a right fidget bum so this will affect how much you feel. Plus the position the baby is in (and the location of the placenta) depends on how much you'll feel movements. If baby is facing your spine (as you'd ideally like for delivery!) then you'll feel less.

If I'm having a busy day, I don't notice my LO moving at all and I have to take the time to sit down quietly for half an hour or so (usually just after a glass of fruit juice to encourage movement) and make the effort to pay attention. Usually LO starts fidgeting (or it's just that I notice it). Fret not.

At 23 weeks with first baby I don't think you will necessarily feels lots of movement.I think they move more at night too,so you may be sleeping through his active phases. As long as you feel some movement everyday,I wouldn't worry too much.Soon he will have you wishing he would stop kicking so much,LOL! It is o.k to be worried though, why not make a little list of questions to ask at each appointment, then you won't forget to ask anything when you go?

Thanks everyone

I just feel like I used to feel him move around more often and now I dont but of course hes not really big yet and can face different ways and also my placenta is on the front but over to the left so I really only feel him when hes around my right side.

Just cant help worrying! Got a mw appointment in 2 weeks which always reassures me as I can hear his heartbeat.

Im sure someone said after 25 weeks I should be feeling daily movements. I dont think I feel them every day now though whereas Im sure I used to.
