Preg with no.4.

1st a week early, 2nd 4 days late, 3rd 4 days late.

4th engaged already, as was 3rd , will find out how much on Wednesday.

I know engagement is not a sign of impending labour but am just wondering if anyone has gone over a couple of times than had an early one?

Thanks.

mine all got progressively later apart from the last one who was induced 4 days early. But apart from the first none were fully engaged until labour started so you never know!

On a a couple of occaisions I have 5-10 mild contractions and lots of those scratchy feelings in my cervix like the baby is trying to escape.

Once this subsided the first time - 2 weeks ago - I could eat a full dinner again and since then have been peeing frequently, like in the very early stages of preg so I know the baby is moving down. Nothing else to note though - have more 'moisture' than normal but wouldn't call it discharge or plug.

Maybe I am gradually dilating?

I was 3-4cm dilated when I went for sweep with no.2 on due date and had only had these on and off episodes that time too.

This could be me posting, LOTF. My first was 4 weeks early, 2nd on time, 3rd induced at 40+10. I'm 36 weeks with all the same symptoms as you, but I'm under no illusions. I'll probably end up being induced for post-dates again!

Best of luck.

It is all very frustrating when your womb is 'experienced' and 'gets carried away' as I have been informed by midwives.

Suppose we will be pissing about with false labour symptoms until delivery..... 4 days late no doubt!!

Is that what they blame it on? I'm hoping a six year gap will have returned my womb to an inexperienced state.

Yes, that's what she told me last time when I kept getting false labour symptoms for the last 2 weeks. On 2 occaisions I thought it was it but it died off.
