C-section scar pain

Anyone else had pain across the scar in another pregnancy?

I keep getting shooting pains (9.5 weeks). Saw someone at the EPU , had a scan and its not ectopic and they think its from the scar. The pain in very specific to that area so I am pretty sure that is it. The pains come 2-3 times a day but they double me up. Last two were when I turned over in the night and when I sneezed.

Just wondering if its common. I didn't have it last time.

I have the exact same problem. Had an emergency c-section 4 yrs ago and developed an infection, resulting in an open wound for approx 9 weeks. After that had healed I always felt "lumpy" across my incision line. Now 10 weeks pregnant and having pain like you which leaves me doubled over for a minute or two. Have found that bringing my knees up toward my chest when sneezing/coughing and turning over in bed carefully avoids the symptoms. I mentioned it to my GP when I went along to tell him of my pregnancy and he agreed with me that the pains were likely a combination of adhesions (scar tissue) along my old wound coupled with the normal stretching/growing of my uterus. I intend mentioning it at my booking appointment next week in case it has an influence on whether I can deliver normally this time (which is what I would prefer).

I'm having another section so I don't have to worry about that!

Last one wasn't very neat and was an emergency one in the middle of the night and I wonder if it just wasn't done as well as with my first (elective).

At least I'm not the only one I suppose
