I have been feeling strange for last day, had very stressful sitution a few days ago, just beginning to calm down. have been very light period type cramps and checked my cervix i could not find it. worried that it might be pre term labour, is it normal not to be able to find your cervix at this stage. Prior to conception i charted and checked my cervix si i know what i m looking for?

I am probably not going to be much use but at around 18 weeks or so I had terrible period type pains for at least 4 weeks or so which turned out to be ligament stretching pains - common at that point in pregnancy apparently. I remember spending the whole time terrified. So the pain might just be that.
I don't know about the cervix thing I never checked mine but I think the position of your cervix changes when you're pregnant. If you are worried you should get your midwife to check you just to help put your mind at rest. Hope everything is ok.

Your cervix is supposed to be high up during pregnancy as this helps protect the bean from infection etc.
Pregnancy brings with it all sorts of aches, pains and strangeness IME. The pains you are feeling could well be stretching, but as paddypoopants (can't believe I just typed ]that [grin[) suggests, you could just get your MW to have a listen in. That might give you some comfort so you can stop worrying.

FWIW, preterm labour is pretty rare, even in stressful situations.

I hope everything turns out to be fine.
