Started a thrad in General Health, but googled abit and read this link about itchiny/rashes in pregnancy and am now really wondering if it's pregnancy related? I have had anothing like this before (small bumps over my palm, now it's over the top of my hand) - I showed midwife when I first got it and she said you only have to worry about fingers swelling (same MW who couldn't understand aneuploidy on my scan notes, and doesn't check urine sample unless you sting when you wee) so now, TBH, I am doubting the fact it definatly isn't pregnancy related. I have had vision problems, 3 day major headache and baby has growth problems (if that means anything alongside this). Next seeing consultant next Wednesday, same with MW.

A little itchy is nothing to worry about. however severe itchying, especially of the hands and feet can be pregnancy related, it can be a sighn of a liver condition called obstertric chloestasis. Im not a MW im pregnant and its written in my notes, for something to watch out for. If it is severe youv just got to call your gp, mw or labor ward and they'll just do a few test, i.e blood and wee and stuff!
its probably going to be nothing, but its best to get it checked, but again if its not severe its nothing, hope iv helped. all the best.

Thanks - do you know if it's checked for in routine bloods/wee tests?

i dont think its done in a routine test, but if you went with the problem they do a blood test to check.

OK, I will mention it when I next see consultant, thanks

I had obsteric cholestasis when I was pregnant. Just to let you know that it's nothing terrifying and is easily controlled with medication. It's just REALLY irritating with the constant itching.

So don't worry.
