I kind of know it's all over and just wanted to know what happens now?, im actually ment to be due my period today.

I'm really scared, i called the NHS doctor last night and he scared me sayiong if i bleed heavily get an ambulance, so i was awake all night freaking.

I have a pad on but there is actually nothing on the pad!

Pleaase be gentle i scare easily and am very frightened.

Hi, please try not to worry, it's actually quite normal to have a small amount of bleeding in the early stages, there is sometimes an implantation bleed at around 5/6 weeks i think and another one at 11 weeks when the placenta starts working.
I had some bleeding with both pregnancies, most of the time it was old blood (brown) and they said not to worry about that, it's more if it's bright red 'new' blood that they tend to get concerned!
If you have a early pregnancy unit close by you can go for a scan to check but you have to be over 6 weeks for them to really see anything.
I know its easier said than done but please don't worry unless it gets very heavy. 9 times out of 10 its nothing to worry about!
Congratulations by the way!x

Thank you dani im all panicked and making myself worse because i suffer from panic attacks so feel all shakey and sick because of it.

The early unit is shut today, so i made anither call to the out of hours doctors just for a bit of reasurance i guess.

I'm also in really early pregnancy so I understand the anxiety. Try to remember that all the doctors have done this before. That doesn't mean the don't have to treat you like you and your pregnancy are important. If you are feeling anxious, can you get to A and E or an open doctor today?

Hello mumsie123, as daniwalkes says this can be common and doesn't necessarily mean the pregnancy is no onger going to continue.
The advice to call an ambulance if you bleed heavily is just belt and bracess tuff - the liklihood is that even if you are miscarrying you will not bleed so heavily as to be in huge danger although some women can have underlying bleeding issues/other issues they were not previously aware of.
Panic attacks are horrrible (get them myself sometimes). It might help to remember that even if this IS a miscarriage something like 1 in 5 pregnancies ends this way and most women get through it with not too much physical difficulty. Hope it's NOT a miscarriage though.

Please try not to worry, i had spotting at 6 weeks and it lasted for 7 days. It scared the living daylights out of me and i was sure that the worst was about to happen. I went to my GP who booked me in for a early scan a few days later and all was fine. The EPU gave me a leaflet that says up to 50% of women will have some spotting in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy so its a lot more common than people think.

Take care of yourself.

Hi, it's not really spotting i have loads of brown stuff now, when i wipe and on my pad. I still feel very sick though or that could just be the stress of it.

I called my doctor again and he said there really is nothing i can do as i was actually due on yesterday/today i havent actually missed a period. and of i hadn't tested early i would of just asummed i was having a oeriod apparently 70% of woman can have this and not even know unless they test early.

Also as it is very early i wont need any treatment it will just come as a normal period. But after the bleeding has stopped i have to take another pregnancy test see what it sais, my doctor also said it is common, its basically a waiting game, but i have been told not to worry as its so early etc. so that has put my mind at ease.

Yeah - keep us posted mumsie123. And remember, if the worst happens it might help to think about the fact that you actually got pregnant - and so the chance of getting pregnant again is good - that's what kept me going when i had an implantation bleed very early on.
Best of luck.
