I got a birthing ball yesterday (well, a gym ball from Argos for half the price!) and it really helped - I still had the restless legs irritation, but at least I could sit on the ball and move without standing up all evening - bliss!!

Maybe, perhaps will help someone - I am SO fed up that I have another 6 weeks of this to come.....

well, it's reminded me to blow my balls up!

I got mine from lidl in my last pregnancy, my dh actually bought me 3 different sizes and they were great for legs, and also for pelvic and back pain (leaning over them and rocking)

I believe there are a number of threads about restless legs in the archives so worth checking - advice seems to include upping your magnesium, sleeping during the day when it's less troublesome, and using a pillow between the legs when lying down. Personally i found its worse when i've been carrying weight in the day (shopping etc) or walked a long way; also worse if i need a wee. So i think it's to do with pressure on sciatic nerves. But i#m not a doctor! It sucks anyway. Good luck!!

Thanks MudandRoses - this is pg number four and the restless legs have got progressively worse with each pg. I have tried every remedy going and nothing seems to touch it at all....but the birthing ball definitely has helped a bit!

Bouncy ball thing works a treat, but if it gets really bad, I just end up going to bed - it's always at its worst when I'm tired....
