Hi All,

I am 10+1 and am petrified, I have my dating scan this afternoon, but I don't feel pregnant anymore. The M/S has all but cleared up and smells don't seem to be bothering me anymore! This has only been this way for 2 days though and I am still exhausted all the time.

Has anyone else ever felt like this? I even took a pregnancy test and was somewhat calmed by the dark blue line! But I think I am winding myself up with thinking something has happened!

Am I just being stupid???

xx

Bless you, I felt like this in the run up to my first scan - I admit, I didn't take the test again, but certainly, I was worried they wouldn't find anything (I blame watching Marley and Me...!)

Is anyone going with you? x

My symptoms have come and gone all through this pregnancy and I even have days now were I wonder if I'm still pregnant and I had my 20 weeks scan a fortnight ago!!

Try not to worry - good luck

Thanks guys. Yeah Hubby is coming with me, bless him, he doesn't want to miss anything!

Just need to calm down a bit I think!

perfectly natural - this is my 2nd, so you'd think I'd know for def, but this one has turned out so different to DS. I have days where it hits me with a sledgehammer, yoohoo, I'm still here...! Other days I can run around like a headless chicken, and not even think I'm pg!

At the moment, it's sledgehammer phase, and I'm so wishing for a headless chicken day! Lol x

I felt the same sickness suddenly stopped and tiredness continues, had my scan this week. Hope all goes well this afternoon

MrsHumphz · 19/03/2010 11:04

Hi - I had absolutely the same thing. You don't feel sick but you can't feel your baby move and you don't have a bump. Don't panic!! You've still got a beautiful bouncing baby in there!

babybunting2010 · 19/03/2010 11:05

Thanks everyone! Will hopefully have a massive smile on my face come 3pm! x

I really don't want to be the voice of doom and gloom but I would like to offer a different perspective. My symptoms dissapeared, no sickness, no needing to wee, no constipation, no heartburn, no tiredness and it was because I'd had a missed-misscarriage at 6 weeks, I was supposed to be 9 weeks. I just knew things werent right due to the lack of symptoms compared to my 1st pregnancy. I started bleeding and went for a scan which confirmed my fears. A pregnancy test still showed positive though, and can do for several weeks afterwards. It is not a reliable indicator.

The thing with pregnancy symptoms, I find is if you think about them too much, they tend to fade. I'm sure this is the case with you or you're just reaching that turning point approaching the middle trimester when things start to feel better. I really wish you all of the best and look how many people on here have experienced the same thing as you and gone on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

To be honest, I don't really want to post this but I just wanted you to know that for some women, it can mean something different, and to prepare you.

babybunting2010 · 19/03/2010 12:32

Thanks Breastmilksonme and I appreciate the honesty. To be fair it's also made me realise that although I don't have much sickness, I have however still got the tiredness and that needing a wee all the time and the heartburn so I think I am just worrying myself. And saying that I actually feel a little queasy right now, just nothing compared to a few days ago!

Fingers crossed for later will post over the weekend!

Have a nice weekend!!!

Hi BabyB

Hope all goes well for this afternoon. I am pregnant with no.3 and find myself thinking like you at times - wondering if all is going well in there. Never did that with first 2 ?! If it is of any reassurance I think it is perfectly normal to worry. After all your body is going through changes and you are sensitive to each and every one and any little deviation from what you have come to expect from your pregnancy is bound to be of concern. It is great that your scan is today so that you can hopefully get the reassurance you need. Take care.

hairyclaireyfairy · 21/03/2010 17:31

How did you get on babyB, hope all is well?

babybunting2010 · 22/03/2010 09:03

Hey all!

Little baby bunting is fine and looked cute as a button at it's scan. Finally feels a little more real. Have been asked to go back for another scan in 2 weeks just to check something but I am not worrying about it as the Midwife said that she wasn't worried at all.

Very happy! even went and bought a rocking chair and pushchair yesterday.

Thank you all so much for caring it's lovely!

Aah BabyBunting, it's great to hear that all went well. You're right - that's when it begins to feel more real. My booking appt/dating scan is next week. Can't wait!!!
