Slapped cheek at 31 weeks?

My 2 youngest have slapped cheek, they have seen a dr. I have had a blood test for Parvo and rubella done. Dr said he was ringing my consultant to see if he want to send me for extra scans.

I had a blotchy face last week, but thought nothing of it until they got theres.

So if I have had slapped cheek at this stage in pregnancy is there any risk to baby? I feel I want to push for a scan.

I am sure the blood test will only show if I am immume or not, and if I had it last week, I would be immume now, dont think the blood tests shows if you had it resent, just if you ever have or not.

I know I am immune for rubella, so not sure why that was tested for. Unless the dr was unsure if it was rubella they had, but they have had the MMR.

Got midwife tomorrow, do I push it with her?

I have been diagnosed with slapped cheek. Went to the dr at 5weeks because my son had it. He did blood tests and they showed that I am immune, but that I have had it very recently.
The main risk is between 9-20weeks as it can cause miscarriage. I have been told that after my 12 week scan i may need scans each week for 10 weeks to check the growth. I think after 20weeks there is no risk to your baby.

Hope this helps,

The only info on the web, is about the risks before 20 weeks, but I know of someone that had a perfect 20 weeks scan, then the baby got very poorly at 24 weeks due to its mum getting it after 20 weeks.

I had a similar scare and the midwife checked my booking bloods for immunity and compared those with ones she had just taken.
Good luck and try not to worry I know how scary it can be,

Being refered for urgent consultant appointment, plus I am measuring 4 weeks ahead, so being sent for scan for that and midwife put slapped cheek on it as well.
