Missed out on NCT for DC1 as was superstitious/anxious so didn't investigage until after 12wk scan and they were already oversubscribed then discovered we were moving area.

Didn't get involved in any bumps n babes stuff as had just moved house.

Now just pg (BFP last week) with DC2 and wondering whether it would be a good way to meet some more people in the area. Or will they all be first timers with pfbs?

I wouldn't recommend NCT under these circumstances... would be too basic and all people with first babies but perhaps there are other courses that might be more suitable for 2nd time parents - eg we did hypnobirthing course with DS - there are also natal hypnotheraphy, or if you are in london recommend courses at the active birth centre.

The NCT do 'refresher' antenatal courses aimed at parents expecting their second child - that might be a good way to meet people in your area with at least one child the same age, but who are seasoned pros

I went to NCT refresher classes when I was pregnant with DC2. Hadn't been with DC1 so had no real preconceptions. Had also moved house between DC and found the classes great for meeting other second time mothers (most of whom had also moved areas between DC) and also got lots of tips on coping with a toddler and a baby, which I am now trying to put into practice. Oh, and the opportunity to go over our previous births was also pretty therapeutic.
