Hey, i'm 36 weeks 1st pregnancy and i'm really struggling when i go to bed at night!
I'm lying on my sides and using pillows to support legs and bump but after a while my legs are really aching and i have to get up for 5 mins(usually to the loo) to let them settle. I'm awake maybe upto 5 times a night and my body seems to be wide awake by 8am every morning!

please tell me i'm not the only one suffering like this?

Par for the course I'm afraid. No ggod tips, you just have to get up and let everything settle out (my ribs get bad too, but presumably with yours being a 1st pg, baby's dropped a bit so more room up top?).

You get more sleep after the baby's out, to be honest

yeah baby has dropped a bit, but still loves to move around the right side ribs, the only thing i found that helps that is if i sit on dining chair very straight.

You're so not alone, I was absolutely the same. And FatSeal is right; I'm actually sleeping so much better now the baby's been born, it makes up for the decreased quantity of sleep now.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice... it's a PITA, but it's not forever [unhelpful emoticon]

No you're not alone I'm 36 weeks too and not sleeping at all well, mostly due to the fact that when I lie down I suffer from heartburn terribly. I can't get comfortable on either side and not on my back. I'm hoping I'm not going to get too much bigger over the next few weeks. I don't have any advice except for when your other half complains that all the pillows are taking up too much room, accidently-on-purposely elbow him in the ribs! LOL.
