what's a 'normal' amount of BH?

I know nothing is 'normal' in pregnancy but just wondering if anyone knew how many braxton hicks were usual?

I'm 33+4 and have been having BH since week 22 but in the last few weeks they've been getting stronger and more frequent. Now I have them every time I stand up, need the loo or even when I'm sat still on the sofa, they even wake me at night time. I get period type pain along with them too, which can be fairly painful. But it will go off after a couple of minutes.

I have zillions - a couple of days they've been almost constant and have given me really bad nausea - I had to lie down all day.

I get them when I lift my toddler which is about once every 10 minutes, and if I bend down to get something from the floor. I can make them settle down at the end of the day by lying on my side with bump resting on a cushion.

I don't get period type pain though, just a feeling of uncomfortable but painless contracting, which will make no sense if this is your first pregnancy - but v different from labour contractions.

with my middle child i had the same sort of thing... all triggered by a smear at 20 weeks.

they got worse if i was dehydrated or over exerted myself (and as it was a heatwave that summer that was pretty much 24/7!)
