Hi there

I am planning on phoning the hospital, but just wondered if anyone had any experience of this? Most threads relating to brown discharge are in early pregnancy, so I'm not sure how normal it is in late pregnancy? Last night I had some cramping pains, so I'm imagining that this is related, and is probably old blood from the cramping last night? There's not a huge amount, but enough to make me feel uneasy. I can still feel the baby moving, which is obviously reassuring.

Any ideas?

yes it was the start of my 'show' with dd1

Please ring the hospital though. Hope you are ok.

could it be a show? I would go in if I was you and let them have a look.

Sounds like you're loosing your mucus plug. It doesn't necessarily mean you are about to go into labour though. Have you spoken to the hospital yet?

oh blimey, hadn't thought of that! I will give the hospital a call now.......

Thanks everyone

i had this at 34weeks too i think it was a partial show though i panicked good style and freaked out convinced that something was wrong i had polyhydramnios (loads of excess waters) so movements or feeling them at least was sporadic so it fed the fire i was near hyperventilating when i got the hospital and they told me off for getting in such a state anywho... i digress all was ok though so hopefully will be totally fine for you

I'm on my way into the hospital now, just to check things out, fingers crossed!

Will come back with an update later hopefully.

Hi everyone, I'm back!

I was kept in overnight for monitoring, and everything settled down and is fine again now.
Hopefully no more little dramas for the next four weeks!

Thanks for your feedback and support.

x
