Hi everyone, just picking your brains really as this is my first. Im 38+5 and thinking if I go over when my induction would possibly be. My 14th day over would be 5th April which is the Easter Monday, am I likely to be taken in induced etc on a bank holiday or would they do it a little sooner, my friend seems to think with it being a bank hol they would rather not. Any experience or opinions??

HI there, I don't know what each individual hospital is like but with my first I was checked over at 12 days over and induced the next day due to low amniotic fluid. Though this time they have said they will check me at 10 days over and then look to start inducing at 12 days over so as hopefully the baby would be born by 14 days over iyswim.(i'm 5 days over now and really think this baby is too comfy in there) I'm not sure but I wouldn't think they would change dates just because of a bank holiday, they wouldn't want to cause any problems for you or baby. But like I said I'm not sure and each hospital is different, check with your midwife and your next check up. Goodluck with the rest of your pregnancy and the birth
