Miserable - weeks of night and day of pains and still no baby - how long can this last :-(

I'm only 35 weeks but want this baby out....or my waters to go spectacularly so i know its on its way. (I've had steriods already for baby so am not wanting it out and to be ill in case anyone is wondering)

In the last 3 weeks I've been in hospital 3 times over night with regular (5-10min) contractions for 24 hours that have stopped after rest. I'm regularly uncomfortable and/or in pain.

Last night was yet another restless and painful night with strong period pains, me not sleeping and taking codeine. Still feel crampy this morning.

Have been resting lots to prevent premature labour but now i'm so fed up at the thought of another painfull day doing nothing (but trying to keep 2 kids entertained at the same time)

My hair has started falling out and now my boobs are leaking, both of which never happen til after i have my babies.

People tell me it's my body getting ready for birth - I'm having a section in 2 1/2 weeks so don't need anything getting ready!!!

Can this really go on for weeks and weeks ....

Just needed to moan really - I'm feeling very down about this now.........it's just getting totally ridiculous!

Just sending you hugs and hope you are feeling better. It wont be long now (you're probably sick of everyone telling you that). My friend had her DD at 35 weeks and she was really healthy and weighed a good 5lbs something, mso if baby does come early than i'm sure they will be just fine.
My boobs have been leaking for awhile, so i dont think thats a rule of thumb of getting ready to have the baby very soon, not sure about the hair loss- that sounds more stress related.
Hope things ease up for you.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I know keeping baby safe (and myself) is the most important thing....its just the pain and the uncertainty that is slowly driving me insane

2 1/2 weeks is not long in the grand scheme of things....

Groaning for you- it sounds horrible. "not long now" makes me grit my teeth and it must be worse for you with the cramps to put up with too

Hope you have a good day today

Thank you - yes it's the pains and constant false alarms that are driving me mad.....ordinarily i wouldn't be bothered how long i had left!

Off for a bar of chocolate and painkillers to cheer me up
