BFP or Evap Line?

Hiya i'm so confused so thought i'd ask you lovely ladies for some help.
I have used Clearblue Tests before and when it has been negative i have never had an evap line.

yesterday i used a clearblue test and within the 10mins time limit a very very very faint line could be seen in bright light. Overnight the line got a little bit darker. Again this morning i took another clearblue test and again within the 10min time limit a very very very faint line appeared, i felt it was only me who could see the line. Again during today the line has got darker.
I have put the lines getting darker down to evaporation but does the original lines i saw are false and would you suggest i use a different brand. Just never had this with clearblue before so confused

Hi! I had this too! I tested a few days later and got a BFP. Am now 10+2 weeks pregnant. So my advice is to test again in a few days using a morning sample.

I hope this helps you.

lauraloo09 · 11/03/2010 21:27

thanks mummywilliams will test in a few days and congrats on your pregnancy x

Thank you. Come back and let us know how you get on. Good luck! x

Probably a BFP

I second mummywilliams... if it's very early the line will be faint.

Good luck!

ttcbabyno3 · 12/03/2010 09:54

Hi try the digital ones :-) no lines juts a straight yes or no good luck :-)

Kity · 12/03/2010 10:01

happened to me too, I did test early, But it was a case of "if I hold it up to the light and twist it a bit I can just see a faint line" 2 days later it was a big bright line!
Think false positives are highly unlikely
Good luck!

PrivetDancer · 12/03/2010 10:46

hmm, i've had a shadow of a line this morning too. DH could not see it, but once test had completely dried out there is definitely still a shadow. I am cautiously optimistic and desperate to test again first thing tomorrow - let us know how you got on today!

I would test again with a CB digital - no rooom for doubt there!

(and seeing the "pregnant - 1-2 weeks" is sooo reassuring!)

PrivetDancer · 12/03/2010 14:02

all the digital ones do is read the line for you, inside they are just sticks with blue lines on, and most likely would say no if it was very very faint

lauraloo09 · 12/03/2010 14:20

i tried a digital one this afternoon and it was negative not sure if i tested too early tho will try again in a few days

PrivetDancer · 12/03/2010 14:30

snap it open and see if there is a line inside - as i say if it's only faint a digital one will err on the side of saying no.
Also if it's early days you really need first thing in the morning wee.

lauraloo09 · 12/03/2010 14:47

i opened it up and i can see a faint line am going to try and post a photo to see what you think

lauraloo09 · 12/03/2010 14:57

i've just posted a pic of the test on my profile please have a look and see what you think, this is how the two strips appeared when i removed them from the digital test

I can see second v faint line (on top stick)

colie · 12/03/2010 14:59

With my 2nd pregnancy I kept seeing really, really faint lines. As in, twist it, stand on chair to get closer to light and I could see it. This went on for a week. Left it a couple of days, did another test it was negative. Looked at it again a few hours later and it was clearly positive. Bought digital one (just the one that says pregnant or not pregnant) and next day used it and it said positive. 9 months later dd2 arrived.

With 3rd pregnancy, same again, very, very faint positives. After a few hours test woudl turn more positive.

left it a few days bought another asda one and definate positive straight away.

Agree if you are in very early stages you definately need first morning wee. Even if you just pee into a container first thing, and then buy the test and use that wee. Not that I am use to doing that type of thing .

DarrellRivers · 12/03/2010 14:59

you are going pregnancy test crazy you know now
It is the point when you crack open the test to get a better view

colie · 12/03/2010 15:01

I can also see two lines on the top one. Congratulations!

PrivetDancer · 12/03/2010 15:02

yes there are definitely two lines there

lauraloo09 · 12/03/2010 15:02

i was test crazy when i got my faint positive when pregnant with my DD but i've never been to the point of breaking open digital tests lol i'm desp to find out by tomorrow as it's my birthday today and DH I and friends are heading for a night out and they want to get drunk

I dread to think how much I have spent on pregnancy tests over the years. Hospital confirmed my first pregnancy and I still bought tests after that!!

It can become a bit obsessive.

lauraloo09 · 12/03/2010 15:05

thank god you guys are seeing the lines too felt i was imagining them not fully satisfied tho think i'll buy a first response...i have one more diital left (bought pack of 2) which i'll keep for a few days time lol

OP posts:
DarrellRivers · 12/03/2010 15:06

You should go and buy lots more tests, take pictures of them all within 10mins and then post the results on your profile and we can all see them and then make a joint decision
Must go pick up from school now, will check back later to make sure you have purchased at least 5 new tests
I never bothered with digital, not enough fun with the 'is there a line, isn't there a line?'

PrivetDancer · 12/03/2010 15:07

oh yeah, I kept doing them once i knew too, to see if the line was getting darker (neurotic) and also because it was such a novelty to get a positive after so many months of NOs.

Congrats and happy birthday lauraloo!
