Possibly twins?

I am 10 weeks and I have my first scan when I will be 13+5. I am wondering if the hospital might bring my scan date forward if I say I feel I may be pregnant with twins. I have a bump already and I am wearing maternity trousers for work and living in my pajamas or leggings the rest of the time. There are twins on both my mum and dads side of the family my mum had twins as siblings but they passed away and my dad is a non identical twin. They have skipped a generation and I have got it into my head that I am having twins. Alot of people have commented on the size of my belly and as I am normally a size 8 my bump is very noticable! Ant comments will be appreciated.

Good luck and congrats on one baby - and huge congrats if its two!!

I was also a teeny size 8 so my single baby showed very quickly so not too sure you can take bump size as a predictor of twins.

Everyone assumed i'd eaten far too much on holiday!

I don't think they bring it forward if you suspect twins, but what a suprise may await you at 13 weeks.how exciting waiting to find out!

Twins were supposed to pop up in my family too - but none so far, think its a bit old wives tale about twins skipping a generation etc. My brother paid out for twins insurance convinced his wife was carrying two - and was gutted he couldn't claim on it!

good luck and lets us know if it is twins!

Ooh good luck, don't think the hospital will bring your scan forward but I hope you get the result you want. Do let us know if it is twins, god that was the one thing I didn't want to hear (well apart from the no heartbeat thing). .

aaaaah twins are lovely xx let us know but as singforjoy said i dont think they will bring it forward as there is no reason to...what i mean in twins isnt necessarily a reason on its own to bring a scan forward unlike maybe a medical condition or if you were bleeding or something...be patient no matter how hard and you will get to see ur baby/babies very soon xx good luck
