32 weeks - sore, achey bump

Hi all

I am 32 weeks and my bump (sometimes also lower back) is really sore, achey: like indigestion sore. Also hurts when the baby moves. Ow.

Has been going on for a couple of days and was bad enough to wake me up last night.

I have flu and am coughing and sneezing - so maybe that has done something? I definitely have pulled a muscle, but the achey/sore feeling is different to that. Could of course be indigestion (as a reaction to the antibiotics? Erythramyacin (sp.)).

Can't think what else it could be. Anyone know about this, had this, have any thoughts?

Thanks v much.

Sounds normal to me. But I think you should ask your MW if worried.

My bump got very achey near rib cage if I slouched for too long or sat badly. Got lots of heart burn too towards the end. And of course back ache too.

Congrats on the baby tho

Cheers teaandcakeplease.

But a heads up for anyone taking antibiotics - it IS the bloody erythromyocin, which I still cannot spell. Went to see docs and she initially thought I had might be starting labour - D&V, hard, visible cramps, back pain...

While the erythrowotsit has fixed me I am NEVER taking it again. Feel like am poisoning self. And still 3 days to go unless I can persuade them to reduce dosage/duration.

Baby fine though [relief]

Sounds normal - try & rest as much as possible, take relaxing baths and rub lots of oil/cream in as the skin gets sore when it stretches

Lucky

I'm 31 weeks and have precisely the same thing. Back is worst just before bed. Bump is indigestion sore. I recommend Rennies. I was having horrid heartburn as well but then I found these really rather nice spearmint chewable rennies (which taste like sweets) and it has made all the difference to that and the indigestion pain. Sore back is just one of the most common side effects of being pg I think!
