Approx 39 weeks pg, trying to get stuff sorted like collecting parcels from post depot and getting essentials we've run out of, with 4yo DS having a proper screaming tantrum because he didn't want to do any more errands before going home

Everyone in local M&S was really kind to me despite having a child of 4 who's still having massive strops (thought he had stopped but imminent baby prob stressing him out a bit)

Then at the checkout a lovely man got me one of those individual little cakes with an icing flower on it to cheer me up... (only problem being of course that then me and DS were both in tears)

Of course he probably won't be reading this but just in case... thank you.

Oh, that is so lovely! How kind! BTW I had DS2 6 months ago, when DS1 was four. We had the tantrum thing too- It passes, I promise

That's so damn sweet. There is nothing better sometimes than a random act of kindness. I might start crying too

LuckyC · 11/03/2010 13:18

MmeLindt · 11/03/2010 13:20

random acts of kindness are the way forward

What a lovely thing to do!

crumpetsolo · 11/03/2010 15:20

That is really sweet. It made me think of yesterday when an old man gave me a pound coin in M & S to 'buy something nice for DS' - I tried giving it back, but he wasn't having any of it. DS enjoyed his chocolate bunnies muchly, and I felt all warm and fuzzy. Aren't people nice?

morethemerrier · 11/03/2010 15:42

(reaching for the tissues)

what a heartwarming story, thanks for sharing your warm fuzzy feeling, I bet he doesn't realise how far his kindness has spread!

YanknCock · 11/03/2010 18:01

Awwwww....that is lovely.

When I was pregnant I burst into tears in front of a pharmacy assistant because I had to buy Tena Ladys (I was throwing up so violently I peed every time). She came around the counter and gave me a much needed hug!

designerjooles · 11/03/2010 19:03

sniff sniff

It's so nice to know that there are some really lovely people out there...

thislittlesisterlola · 11/03/2010 20:14
