Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and have a really dry mouth is this normal ? did not have this when had baby 1.

I've definitely been more thirsty than normal - am 6 weeks too. I wouldn't worry unless you have other symptoms too. Just try to drink plenty of water.

I had this as well, particularly in the mornings. Try not to have the heating too high in the bedroom overnight if that is your inclination as you will dry out even more. Also you may start with a blocked nose (cos of the oestrogen production) which means you breathe through your mouth more which means it dries out.

Keep some water or squash by your bed too as a sip first thing is sometimes helpful to quash some of the early morning nausea (can be exacerbated by dehydration)

Yes I was super thirsty in first trimester and always had a glass or bottle of water near me at all times.

I am not medical expert or anything but my thinking was maybe you need more fluid to make up amniotic fluid?????

Yes!! I am 14+2 now and still thirsty! I actually crave water!! Very bizarre! I was, and am, really thirsty with very dry lips.
