from 8 weeks, i saw my midwife every 4 or 5 weeks till somewhere in the 30s when i started going every second week....maybe worth ringing your midwife/doc to find out?

in my area I had to make an appointment myself to see the midwife at 16 weeks, then again at 25 weeks.

There should be a timeline in the front of your pregnancy notes..? Mine has one - you have about 8 appointments for a first pregnancy I think. You have to book the midwife appointments yourself though.

About every 4/5 weeks in first pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy and I had booking in and 16 week check then nothing till 28 weeks apart from 20 week scan with the understanding that I contact them if I have any concerns.

I think it totally depends on where you live/ which hospital. I had one at 12 weeks and then a scan the next week. Now nothing til 20 weeks and after than I have no idea. But at the beginning I felt a bit like I was just being left to it - especially compared to other people (not in the city so perhaps at less busy hospitals) who seemed to have appointments all the time.
