Found out yesterday I was pregnant and also my son has chicken pox. I have had chicken pox as a child, should I be worried?

I think I would see the GP and ask to have my immunity checked if I were you. Although you probably are immune, it is possible to get chickenpox more than once and so it is worth being sure.

Will make an app with GP for tomorrow, although I rang today and they were not very helpful! My husband has taken my son to his grandma's for a couple of days..........which I felt was a bit drastic???

think I might invent lack of chicken pox so can have a couple of days of peace while grandma deals with chicken pox in toddler!

it is fine though if you've had it then you and the baby will be fine

wether you tell you dh this or not is up to you!

Susiey I don't know if you're a Desperate Housewives fan, but that's exactly what Gabrielle does when one of her daughters gets chicken pox. Twas a funny episode.

Bgt, I second/third the suggestion that you get your immunity checked. Even if you had it as a child, some people (like me) can't develop immunity.

I feel guilty that I should be looking after my sick son and not my mil. Currently sitting in front of the tv whilst chatting on mumsnet! this cant be right?
