Hi everyone,

I am 5 week's pregnant, and i have recently taken antibiotics for a urine infection, today i have been exsperiencing burning down below (sorry TMI) i have done another urine ample for the doctor who said i had very slight protine in it, but not enough for another infection.

In my last pregnancy i had GBS could this all be link any advice or guess or exsperience in the same thing would be so apprecitaed please

Sorry, I don't have anything very useful to say, but if you're not better very soon go back to the docs just in case the infection is coming back. Are you drinking lots?

I had a major GBS infection after the birth of my first child (she was, thankfully, unaffected) but when tested at the end of my second pregnancy, I wasn't carrying it. So it might not be linked at all. But mention it to the doctor if you go back?

Thrush!
Get a pessary and get rid at once.
And some cream to stop burning/irritation.
I would tell doc you have this to get the meds.

I agree, thrush.

I always get thrush after I take anti-biotics. Canesten combi is wonderful
