late pregnancy, pins and needles in tip toes?

I experienced this while shopping, sat down in store and my tip toes were numb and with pins and needles as if they were cold, but I was not cold.
Is this normal?

Could be Reynauds syndrome?

It's a problem with the nerves in your spine/legs, your baby's probably squishing them. Does it go if you stand/sit in a different position (ie, not slouching)?

I was walking around, standing in que, etc, noticed when I sat down.
Felt faint too but that's nothing new.
I'm slighty anemic and still losing weight, lost 20lbs since being 3 months pregnant..
Very drained now at 35 weeks...
Can't wait to get antibiotics for this 'bug' they found out I have..

I did have that too - nerve pressure from big fat baby. But check if you're worried.

When was the last time they checked your iron and urine?

Just last week.
They said my iron levels are low, not drastically low but still and asked how I liked the sound of some medicine, I said oh god it makes me gag (had it last time) so I promised to eat more stuff high in iron instead..

Iron pills should be OK. To be honest, the levels found in food will not be high enough to raise your levels back to normal, neither will iron pills you buy from the health food shop. Your best bet is injections, which will work alot quicker then prescribed iron pills. It's really important that your levels are normal by the time you deliver, mine were low and I almost passed out in the bathroom after delivering ds, any blood loss during the birth increases the chances of this if your levels are low.

Check this with the GP but pins and needles is normally due to something putting pressure on the nerves (ie, baby). If it isn't there when you stand then it's your baby squishing the nerve in your lower back when you sit down so try and find a different sitting position.

Oh thanks for telling me about iron injections. I have litterally thrown up while trying to swallow those pills, and the liquid form is worse.
I'll ask them about injections as I'm a single mum to a 3 yr old too, there's no way I can be passing out, on my own with 2 infants!
Pins and needles was just temporary luckily, but did worry for a moment my toes could drop off :s

I get pins and needles all the time, they are still there!

Pop back to the GP and ask for injections.

Okay :-D
They'll think I'm mad something who would prefer an injection over oral medication :-p
