Is there any chance that clearblue digital test could be wrong at 17DPO?

I get a positive this morning, with the the conception indicator saying 2-3 weeks. Is there any chance at all that this could be false? I'm having hard time getting my head round the idea that I might actually be pregnant as I don't have any symptoms other than cramping, the occasional stitch and feeling like someone is poking me in the kidneys. Am I being daft?

no you can't get a false positive.

AmeliaEarhart, I think for some women in early pregnancy who don't have any symptoms, repeated positive pregnancy tests are all they have!

I don't think you're being daft, but if you're going to go down the route of testing every day (and I'm not recommending that at all, just that... ahem, some women do) -

Then all I'd say is (a) invest in some cheaper tests! and (b) if you do, don't get hung up on positive lines being stronger/weaker on different days. It doesn't tell you anything apart from how dilute your wee is.

And congratulations.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, Amelia.

You're pregnant.

Thanks! We've been trying for 18 months, with a miscarriage at 6 weeks last April, so I was beginning to think it was never going to happen again. Hopefully the shock will wear off soon!

Congratulations Amelia, you are definately pregnant!

I found out that I'm pregnant (after 16 months TTC) on Monday. Today is the first day i haven't tested! I may take a while for the news to sink in.

Thanks YTD, and congratulations to you too.
I don't think I'll test again as I hate the whole POAS thing! I get so nervous - this morning my hands were shaking so much I nearly dropped the damn thing down the toilet.

Is there a particular 'early days and nervous' thread that anyone can recommend?

You could come and join us on the November ante natal thread. There are a few of us on there that are pregnant again after mc.

Congratulations by that way.
