A test would be positive by now if it was going to be wouldn't it?

I'm on day 32 of a 28-31 day cycle. It's been 28 for ages but last cycle was 31 days. I think I ovulated around day 18.

Tested this morning and BFN.

Is it just a case of waiting for AF to turn up now?

It doesn't feel like it's on it's way particularly but I have had raging PMT for the last week

With my 2 DC, the test was positive on day period was due and on my 2 MC, there was a fainter line on the day I was due.

I don't have much advice to offer but I was thinking about this issue as I sometimes ov on CD18/19. As I understand it, with your cycle you would need to use a sensitive test (e.g. FR) even to detect hCG on the day AF was due (rather than 4/5 days before as the test promises) and a less sensitive test might not pick it up. The author of 'peeonastick.com' describes it better than me here under 'How soon can I test?'

If you are now 14DPO, then it's as though today's the day your period is due on a standard 28-day-ov-on-CD14 cycle. But late AF has to be a good sign! What test did you use?

I have an average 30 day cycle and ovulated late on the month I fell pregnant this time. (Did ovulation test.)
Even though this was the case, I did test 5 days before period was due and still got a vague positive. I would say that you're probably not pg on this occasion. Best tests to use are those such as Clearblue or First Response as they were great for me and you can get pretty accurate result a few days early.
