Right, bleeding again - should I ask for swabs?

I bled in the last pregnancy and am again this time. First last week and again last night. I am going for another early scan and am petrified as I am convinced something it wrong...

However... If all is well, could I ask for swabs to check for infection? They always check the urine, but I have been reading that infections such as thrush can cause bleeding and sometimes it is too high to know about it. Also can I ask them to check for cervical erosion? Surely they have to look to see it?? I don't really want to go through invasive probing... but wish I could find out some reasons...

Thanks... Wish me luck, please...
