Friend has had ds2 today, she was expecting baby to be dd (having had two scans confirming dd so pregnant ladies beware!), so I will be returning the very pink outfit I bought to give her.

Any ideas for good new baby pressie for ds2? I have ruled out clothes and toys and brain has gone blank! Those of you pregnant with dc2 what would you really like to receive?

Thanks in advance for any help...

I've bought friends and family little comfort blankets with the baby's name and date of birth embroidered on them. (Another friend is an embroiderer, so I get a discount too )

Taggies are always good.

I've done taggies with their names on. I've also done personalised jigsaw puzzles which spell our LO's name. Obviously they won't be using it for a while but its quite a nice thing that is specific to them.

thanks, love the personalisation idea, where did you get the jigsaws / taggies from loueytbq?

I'm planning on getting my friend expecting DS2 these Daisy Roots bootees that say 'little brother' on them here

I actually think clothes is still good if the children are born at different times of the year. I have 2 sons, one born in Spring, one in Winter so for the first 6 months or so I had to buy quite alot of clothes for DS2 as DS1's clothes weren't suitable for the weather.
Also think personalised gifts great idea too.

love the booties SqueezyB!

cloudydaze - that's a really good point actually, her ds1 was born in Nov so maybe some spring "newborn" clothes might be appreciated - maybe I should just ask her what she'd like!

A big box of non bio washing powder, some home made cake and / or pasta sauce. Some ironing 'vouchers' from you....
but then I just go for the practical gifts
