I don't feel as if I'm having proper conractions, it doesn't hurt all over the bump and I know from last time what they're like. But having what seems like v strong braxton hicks and the baby feels as if it's pushed right down (it is head down acc to mw) and pressing really painfully on fanjo/ bum/ pelvic floor area. Is this ok or should I be worried? Been on and off for a few days but it's getting worse...

Are you me?!! I am 37+3 and am getting (what I think must me...) crippling braxton hicks. Really low down, though, and not at all as I remember from DC1. Much worse at night too, so much so that a couple of times I have wondered if I was actually in labour.

Like you, this has been getting worse and worse over the last 3-4 days. Really hoping that it means actual labour will super speedy, and soon!
But would really like a good night sleep first...

Wishing you lots of luck!

Hi, I am 38 +5 and have the same thing feels like the head is trying to come out. The BH have stepped up in intensity the whole bump is really tight and it hurts low down. My mw also said baby was very low.

I too was hoping it might mean labour wasn't far away as am fairly sure have had a show (didn't last time waters broke) but nothing so far

Best of luck for when it does happen though.

Me too!!! I am 37+3 too and braxton hicks just so tight it is painful. And back ache, and low cramps. And also thought labour has started a few times in the past few days, although usually in the afternoon, and by the time dc's asleep and I can get into the bath it calms down. I am hoping things will happen soon, because not sure I can cope with this for another two, three, four weeks.

Lots of luck when things finally do kick off, and hoping for us all it will be soon xx

Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me! I have a C-section booked, a tip of a new house to sort out and a 4yo who we will have to find emergency childcare for if it comes early, so while I would like to stop feeling like a whale I was kind of hoping it would stay in for a bit longer...

Sometimes it feels as if I might literally look down and see it escaping! Ouch...
