Chicken pox and pregnancy...

Several family members have come out in chicken pox today.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have had chicken pox in my childhood.

I think this means I'm not in any trouble - but could someone just confirm I shouldn't be worried about my baby?

i am prertty sure it's fine. it'll all be over by the time baby is born hopefully so no need to worry

If you have immunity, no need to worry.

You can ask to have it double checked - quick blood test for varicella zoster - if that will put your mind at rest.

And astiy says, it should all be over for the rest of your family by the time the baby arrives.

If you have had chicken pox you are TOTALLY safe.

Chicken pox went through our house when i was only 5 weeks. Doctor said nothing to worry about if you have had it yourself. Best of luck

Great - that's really reassuring.
Thanks ladies
