There's some really good offers on with Lloyds pharmacy at the moment and I'm thinking of buying one. However some are marked NOT for use in labour?! Does any one know what the difference is?

i think the labour ones have a booster button so that you can press away when needed, also i think the pads are bigger. I've just bought one from lloyds pharmacy, wish i had invested in one for my first baby, i stupidly rented one from boots for the same price as buying one!!

My husband has one and it only has 2 pads, the one I hired for my labour had 4 pads so that's one difference I know of. As BellasYummyMummy said the ones for labour have a booster button which you press when contracting and then it's just gently on the rest of the time. I rented mine from babycareTENS which was really easy and pretty cheap too and you know then you're getting the right one. Will definately be renting one again for this labour (never used it during pregnancy though).

The best one I've found so far seems to bewww.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=1008&storeId=90&productId= 322651&langId=-1&parentcategoryrn=&top=&topcategory=&fromPage=Search&hotspotprefix=. Almost not worthwhile renting one.

oh yes thats the one i just bought! have it all wired and ready to go! if i had had a bit more time i probably would have tried to get one second hand off ebay and just replaced the pads.

I think the labour ones have a different voltage. Why not ask the pharmacist?
