Bleeding at 10 weeks. Very worried...

It's only spotting - not heavy bleeding - but coupled with the fact that I've not really felt confident about this pregnancy from the start as I don't feel at all sick, I am really fearing the worst.

Have spoken to the out of hours doc and they've asked me to go in just now for an appointment, although they won't be able to give me a scan so not sure what they'll do.

Plus DH is away with DD til tomorrow night so don't want to freak him out by phoning and telling him anything til I know more myself.

Just feeling very worried

Poor you. I had a heavy bleed at 10 weeks and all was fine, we never found out what caused it.

Doc may want to be absolutely sure you aren't having an ectopic pregnancy (though it doesn't sound like it), and may want to check your wee for a UTI which is a common cause of early bleeding. They should then refer you to the EPU for a scan, though you may have to wait a day or two.

Don't panic, and don't read too much into the fact that you haven't had any sickness, loads of women with healthy pregnancies don't.

Also you obviously know your DH best but I think he might want to know what is happening asap even if there is very little he can do. At least he can say reassuring things and that may help you feel better.

Best of luck.

Me too - I had a bleed at 10w5d. Flew to the USA, had a lovely holiday and basically tried to forget I was PG (sickness disappeared on pretty much the same day too so I was entirely paranoid!!)

dd2 now a v stoppy 5yrs.

Thanks.

@VeronicaCake - What is UTI?

Been to the doc who did a pregnancy test which was positive but they can't give me a scan until Wed morning.

I've just spoken to DH. Trouble is he's away for work and staying with DD at his parents', so to come home tomorrow morning he'll have to cancel his work thing and tell his parents what's happening. I don't really want them to know.

I know I should stay positive but I just really think this is the start of a miscarriage. There's no pain at all but I do have a 'sensation' across my tummy that is like a very very very mild period ache. Could be imagining it.
