This is my 3rd pregnancy, 1st went full term, 2nd ended in miscarriage at this point, but didnt know til 8 week scan, ANYWAY yesterday I woke with awful lower back ache, feels easier today, but still there. I didnt have it during the 1st pregnancy, so just wondered if anyone had experienced this in pregnancy, I had backache towards the end of my first one, and had bad back ache during labour, but never at this early stage.

Also wanted to say, it eases off when I am up and moving, seems worse if I have been sitting around, worst thing is I am staying with my best friend at the mo, as she had a big operation and lives alone, although I am going home today, so much moaning and groaning coming from both of us lol.

I have had this my whole pregnancy (18 weeks) and to be honest, if you go the midwife about it, they completely blow you off and say, 'it's all part and parcel of being pregnant' even though I told them I ham having difficulty walking as the pain is so intense.

I hope you have a more understanding midwife.

I've had this on and off over the last few weeks (am 10 and a half weeks now). At times i have stood up and thought I was going to fall as the pain in my back made it hard to make my legs work, if that makes sense?!
