Can you go to an EPA/EPU more than once?

Sorry if this is dense, but can you?

I am pregnant with DC3, and went to EPAC at 6+3 with pain and bleeding. Had scan, saw heartbeat - jubilation! No explanation for bleeding.

Now 7+6, and had another bleed on Friday (at 7+5). Had emergency acupuncture session (have used acupuncture to conceive my DC and totally convinced of its benefits) which has stopped the bleeding.

But while I think I still feel pregnant, I don't think I feel quite as pregnant as before. Had miscarriage last year, and terrified of it happening again, so would like to go back to EPAC on Monday to see if the baby is still OK - do you think they will see me, less than 2 weeks after the previous scan? have looked on the website but it doesn't say anything about this...

they wont usually see you unless at least 10 days have elapsed but there is no harm in asking...keeping fingers crossed for you...

When I attended my local EPAU I was told I could self-refer if I needed to at any point, so yes I think you can, even if it's just to speak to someone rather than necessarily have another scan.

Phew, thanks! Will try to go on Monday, then.

Hi Mog; I have seen you on my local board, so think I know which EPAC you're talking about! I too am pg, with DC4 and have had 2 MCs, one of which was a MMC last year. I have just seen my MW and she told me it was fine to self refer again, even though I did this at 6 weeks; it also wouldn't affect being able to have a 12 wk dating scan.
FWIW, I would try to not go on a Monday if you can at all help it; it is usually the busiest time, as it's chocca with women who have spent all w.end freaking out. It can be, IMO, therefore quite upsetting, let alone a bloody long wait. I really hope you get the news you need; don't forget pg symptoms do fluctuate; I might be on #4 but am still utterly capable of definitely NOT feeling pg one day and then a few days later a symptom will reappear!! Good luck.

Hi there catbus - interesting info, thanks! Am feeling a LOT more pregnant today and it had occurred to me that Monday would be an awful day to go, so am going to sit tight for a bit and wait and see. I don't want to clog up the system and be totally self-indulgent, tempting though it is...
