Hello, I'm due in September and my DS is 21 months too! I'm about the same in terms of worrying about things as I was the first time round (which was quite a lot ). Think I'll be a bit more relaxed after my first scan which is a week on Monday.

What sort of complications are you worried about? I'm sure all will be fine .

i am also expecting my second! my DD is 21 months and I am due in a week!! i think this time round you kinda know what you're in for. First time round I was soo excited that I couldnt wait to go into labour. This time I havent done any preparation, so am bricking it a bit! But I know i've done it before so will somehow get through it again! Congrats and good luck

I think i will be fine after that first scan as well, but it's the waiting,

I am just worried about losing the baby, my job is quite manual and i'm not able to tell people yet but need to do less it's frustrating.

congratulations by the way, did you try for this baby for long ??

My first labour was 4 hours then my second was 3 hours. So a positive experience from me. Just remember it can all be luck of the draw!

I feel the same as you Liza, though I don't work so am able to take it easy a bit more (well, as much as you can with a toddler!).

It took us about 3 months to conceive, same as with my DS. My first labour was quick too but had gas & air (good stuff ). I'm really hoping this one will be as straightforward. In fact, am considering a home birth. That is if I make it past 36 weeks (which I didn't last time!). Also, that is if this one's not twins (I'm a twin and my twin sis has just had twins ).

Have you got a scan date yet? Is there anyone you can tell at work to make life a bit easier? How are you feeling?

Liza1980 · 27/02/2010 17:39

I know what you mean about having a toddler, he wants carrying everywhere and i am slowly trying to get him out of it before i am to big,

it took us 9 months to conceive with my son and forever with this child, over a year.

I have also got twins in my family both on my fathers and mothers side so there is a chance.

no date as yet, i am having a meeting with the occupational Health person next week hoping they can help me,

i am ok, been feeling pretty sick on and off as i did last time, but this time i have been suffering with really painful breasts, i didn't get this at all last time, so has been a shock to the system.

How about you ?

I've been feeling fairly sick like last time but I don't think it's been as bad and has definitely started to ease off already (I'm 11 weeks now). Which makes me think it's not twins! Have had heartburn this time though, which I've never had, and it's horrible. Also, much more tired this time - another symptom of having a toddler though!

Good luck with the Occ Health person. It will help to share how you're feeling with someone at work I think.

Trying not to wish the time away as I won't be having any more after this one and want to enjoy the pregnancy, but I really can't wait for my scan - just to check everything's OK and that I really am pregnant!

Liza1980 · 28/02/2010 16:22

I am only 7 weeks so have a little while left till my scan, i was sick up to 25 weeks last time so i hope that it's not the same, but i have not actually been sick just felt it so far, so we will have to see.

Thanks i will keep you updated on how the meeting has gone.

I am lucky in the fact that we are planning to have 4 children so i get to savour this one, and still know i will probably have more,

know what you mean about the scan though, i was so convinced last time there would be nothing there, why do we tell ourselves such things hehe

xx

Had my occupational health appointment, have been taken off some duties, but this has cause me no end of problems with other lazy members of staff who are not willing to do their jobs probably, this has made a good job, upsetting :-(
