currently in hospiital as my waters broke at just under 15 weeks last night. it is a twin pregnancy and so far one twin seems ok, but the other twin has no anmiotic fluid and little movement but does have a heartbeat.

if anyone has any experience of this, good or bad, please post. i don't think the pprgnosis is good sadly.

thanks..

All the very best Midori! You are all doing so well. Not long to go now till the magic 24 - but I''m sure you will keep them cooking way beyond that.

Mumsnut · 28/04/2010 20:18

I've been there Midori, with a singleton. Relax if you possibly can - I really believe that was the key for us. Best of luck.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/04/2010 20:45

Gosh what a rollercoaster ride you are having midori. Wishing you and the twins the very very best of luck, and hoping that they can hang on in there for a good few more weeks yet.

5DollarShake · 28/04/2010 21:07

Ozziegirly · 29/04/2010 03:48

Good luck midori - I am also 23+3 today so have been following this thread along with my own pregnancy.

Am praying for your babies, they sound like they are little fighters.

lanismum · 29/04/2010 15:37

Another one following this thread, I am keeping everything crossed your babies are able to stay put for many more weeks yet

rainbowdays · 29/04/2010 16:12

midori - sounds like you have two little fighters and they are doing well. Hope the hospital is treating you well and that you are getting plenty of rest. Not long now til your 24 week mark.

EggsandBacon · 29/04/2010 16:44

Good luck Midori, keeping fingers crossed for you and your babies xxxx

midori1999 · 29/04/2010 22:27

Thanks all. Am in hospital awaiting decisions about what they're going to do. It seems the filter will be put in as a precaution as I will have to come off the clexane for delivery and they'll take it out again once I am back on the clexane. They have mentioned an elective delivery so they can ensure I am off the clexane but obviously they also need to make sure the babies will have as good a chance as possible once born too.

Had a detailed scan today and they think twin 2 has talipes (club foot). I think a doctor will scan me tomorrow to look/confirm, but the sonographer seemed fairly sure. In the scheme of things it doesn't really matter.

Only two days till steroids!

Nearly there Midori - what a pair of fighters you have in there! Just two days till steroids, blimey that's gone fast. Looking back to your first post, it seems an age ago.

I would guess the talipes could be a consequence of the lack of fluid...

BudaisintheZONE · 30/04/2010 08:02

Wishing you well midori.

Agree that in the scheme of things talipes is minor. And easily dealt with these days from what I understand.

What amazing little fighters you have!

midori1999 · 30/04/2010 08:08

Thanks all. Not feeling too great this morning, just waiting for midwife to come round.

Weblette, talipes can be a consequence of low fluid, but it is actually twin 2, the one with fluid that it was spotted on. They can't see twin 1 clearly enough to diagnose anything like that at all.
