I am 21 weeks today and just returned from scan. All well with baby and it was lovely to see him!

They were a concerned with the position of the placenta and said it may be blocking exit! They have asked me to come back at 34 weeks so the position can be checked again. Was told the worst case senario is I may have to have a caesarean.

Anyone else experienced this, should I be worried at all?

A c-section is never a brilliant option, but in the case of placenta praevia it is the best option. Far better to find out earlier than when you are in labour - a planned section is much calmer than an emergency one. The placenta can move, so if they have picked up a possibility of it now they will be able to have another look closer the time and that is when they will make a final decision to do a section or not.
